As part of our Inquiry unit we carried out an experiment using an egg, salt and water. The aim was to see if we could make an egg float in water. We initially placed the egg into a container of tap water. Then we began adding measured amounts of salt until the egg floated. This experiment has left us with some questions. How can salt make things float in water?
If a big boat had a hole in the side of it, will it float in the Dead Sea?
